Whats it worth, any collectors? It is in good condition. Apologies for the dust I'm the pictures. Ant shop offered 40 bucks, I laughed and left w chair.
Chair not an antique nothing very special in design either. Can find them at tag sales and flea markets regularly for $20 or less. Dealer offered you a good price
I second the vote - not much to write about here.
my apologies for not being an expert on what is an antique in what is not. curiosity about a 33 year old high chair led me here. it was mine as a baby and I was just curious as to what its worth actually. I guess to me priceless. however thank you for your response
Rather keep it if you can.I am sure it
carries a lot of sentimental value which
is indeed priceless.
A vaulable antique high chair would come in three classes - 1) those made for the elite society (Sheraton, Hepplewhite, etc.), 2) it belonged to a historical figure and you had the provenance and 3) hand made, hewn and joined with dowels or wooden pins. That being said, they are great items - find a nice square planter box, water tight and put a nice plant in your chair or even better, a stuffed panda. Have fun
a stuffed panda....lol.... that made me crack up. the planter box ideas sounds really neat though thanks
yes I think I'm gonna hold on to it, maybe 1 day I'll find someone to pass it on to
What did you end up doing with it? I actually have the same exact chair!
I also have 3 childrens oak chairs with rush caned seats...any idea on value?
I actually still have it. I just cant part with it for some reason. Have had 2 people message me on another site. I guess sentiment wins. Lol
I have a great nephew that may use it but id get it back. In the meantime until he is old enough to sit up in it (hes 3 days old btw)...it sits.
