Hi chatterbox, welcome to the forum I hope you will like it here.

Please notice this site is called antique furniture - and so your question is a bit off-topic, but it sounds so very interesting that I promise to keep an eyes out in finding out about it. Do you perhaps have a photo of the china?

Value is largely determined by the marketability, condition of the pieces and how many pieces in the set. You do not say what pieces are included so i am only guessing here but. A teapot and a couple of cups and saucers may be worth 25 to 30 dollars. A more complete set lets say a complete service for 6 with a cup, saucer, luncheon plate, creamer and sugar bowl, serving tray, teapot, may be worth 100 to 125. If you are looking to sell, pieces with damage, chips, cracks, crazing, staining, gold loss, pattern loss, and usage marks all lower the value considerably.

I have bought this pattern "golden posy" from different sources. I'm trying to complete my set. I've bought an 8 pc. place setting for around 225.00 privately. That included c&s, dinner plate, cereal bowl, bread and butter plate, a plater and cream and sugar. Some of the differencs were the accessories and the completeness of the place setting.

It all depended on how bad the people wanted to get rid of the dishes. They were happy with the 225.00 and I really didn't want to pay any more.

I am still looking for certain pieces. I have quite enough dinner plates and cups and saucers. I would really like some luncheon plates and more fruit bowls.
I could also use a tea pot.
