My SO ,the one who complains about the junk I collect, jst came home with a glass and wooden wall mounted case full of old miniature booze bottles. The person was throwing it out and for what ever reason he couldn't let them do it, so it is now hanging on my wall. He asked me to ask you if anyone collects these things(say no and I can throw it out) There are bottles from all over the world that I can see w/o opening it. If anyone knows of a site I can seach, please let me know. BTW if no one collects these things everyone here is invited over for a very old drink. Please bring you own glass and mixers. I don't do parties. Doris

jst came home

Doris, I have heard of collectors for the bottles if they have never been open, and are still sealed, but, not the empty ones. My question is, if they are full, I'm pretty sure the ATF would give you a big fine for selling same.

May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back, And may you be in Heaven 30 minutes before the devil knows You are dead.

Doris, Miniature liquor bottles are collectible. In New Orleans they have lost ALL value if the seals are broken, while in Florida some people take great joy in 'turning in' someone trying to sell liquor bottles or figural decanter bottles with liquor in them. Most miniatures collected are from the 1870-1970 era and anything newer is NOT wanted by collectors. Bottles in 1oz.,2oz. and the more popular 1/10 pint are most sought after. Bottles from the 1930s are very popular. The date (year) may be found embossed on the bottoms of most bottles (simplified to 2 digits). While some bottles are collected because of their unusual shape, the majority are collected because of their colorful labels and must be in perfect condition. MOST miniatures sell for $1-$2. hope this helps,

Thanks Doug, I did a quick look see thru the glass and found most are 1/10 . They are also from all over the world, which surprised me. Most of the seals are on these guys except for the teenyweeny beer bottles. They look like clones of the real bottle. Now that I look at them more closely I guess they are kind of neat and we'll keep them. UNRNO when you'll need a drink. Do think it's still drinkable? Well, I guess I don't have to worry that's the man's job to taste things to make sure there not bad. I have been going to a site someone here talked about (bibliofind) are there other similar sites for other things like these bottles, etc.? Thanks for your help. Doris

Don't even consider sending them to Pennsylvania until you verify the states liquor laws. PA frowns on liquor sent into the state without tax revenue paid on out of state liquor. Just verify state liquor laws over internet before you ship or you can enjoy the heartbreak of state revenue tax laws.

An ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure!
