I have gotten many sites from here to look up different things eg. silver, glass, etc. but I haven't seen a site for ID of funiture style A site that has pics and description, age, repro (If App.) wood ID etc. Anyone have a learning site? Thanks!! Doris

'I am' is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English lang. Could it be that 'I do' is the longest?

This site has a number of 'how to' pages for refinishing, repairing, etc, along with identification of woods (couldn't connect with that one today).

This site identifies American furniture styles.

I haven't looked at either site much, but at a glance they looked informative.

BTW, the greatest search engine in the world IMO is 'alltheweb'.

Carol, Thanks for the info. I did a quick once over of the two sites and now(soon) I'll check out alltheweb. When I try to do a search on a chair I have it takes forever since I don't know the styles names, so I get to look and look and then I get tired. I don't know how people can look at these screens all day every day. They/you have my sympathy. Thanks again. Doris
