I just purchased a Queen Elizabeth II Coronation teacup and saucer and I'm trying to establish if it is worth much. The bottom of the saucer is marked 'Alfred Meakin England' with a crown above the name. I cannot find any information online regarding this piece. Any further info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

These kinds of questions are always interesting, because the poster doesn't say HOW they purchased it or what they paid. Therefore, the question is actually unclear.

Is this buyer's remorse?

Was it bought at a tag sale for a quarter?

Did it come from an antique shop, with a retail price?

There are collectors of coronation memorabilia, but its so plentiful that the items really aren't worth a lot. If you want to see what people will pay for them, when exposed to an audience of hundreds of thousands: http://snurl.com/2cei

Thanks for the website info. It's certainly not buyer's remorse, merely curiosity. The truth is, I purchased the teacup and saucer at a garage sale for $5 on a whim.

Thanks,

AC
