Hi. We recently bought an antique medicine cabinet (we think) at an auction in the midwest. We have no idea how old it is, what it's worth, where it's from, etc. We've put pictures of it up on the web at:
http://home.earthlink.net/~lholmes/antiques/. We'd love to get your input.
Wood appears to have a 'faux' finish of painted burl. The inside and back are painted with a blue wash. There are three holes in the back at the top, apparently for hanging this on pegs (?).
There is handwriting on the inside of the door. We can't tell what language it is or what it says.
There is a fancy skeleton key that fits the lock and knobs on the drawers, probably porcelain.
We suspect the glass in the door is newer.
Dimensions are 30 (height) x 19 (wide) x 10 (deep) in inches.
Thanks for ANY info.
