What is the best way to gainfully dispose of old stuff? I have inherited a lot of things I love, and some I don't. Among the things to sell are a leather fire bucket turned into a lamp, old handmade lace, paintings....where do I go? I'd appreciate any help.

The best way to make the most money clearing out the old stuff is to become a knowledgable reputable antique dealer with a retail store. More work than you're looking for?
Depending on the age and quality of what you have you might want to get a professional appraisal before you sell, at least for the paintings. There could be a *surprise* among those. You could sell to a dealer, or talk with an auction company to see what they think the items will bring.
