When I was 8 our neighbor, from Japan, went home when her Father died, My Mother took care of her home pets you name it for almost 3 months. Upon her return she gave my mother this table as a Thank You. I need to know it's detail, value and where I may be able to sell it for a fair price. Recently my Mother passed and everything was left to my sister and I. This is the only thing left that I have to split with my sister. I refuse to put it in a yard sale since I can't find anything on it... I would appreciate any assistance.
You have a perhaps a Chinese first, Japanese second, lacquered coffee table and there are a number of examples on google with prices from 10 to 1000 dollars. I suggest you find a local expert and get an appraisal it may be worth it.

Thanks for your response, I have gone to the local Antique Store here and they all didn't have a clue or they wouldn't give me any information because they didn't specialize in Asian furniture. I'm about ready to lug it into a Chinese Restaurant and see if they have a clue... I really wish they had marked it.
