What can someone tell me about Ye Olde Randolph House furniture Randolph VT
Bedroom set made in 1956 Early American
Same town as Ethan Allen factory
I can't tell you anything, but we also have a Randolph House bedroom set and desk. Did you hear anything about it?
Randolph is in Orange County, Vermont. but no indication of this furniture company being there.
My guess is that they were absorbed by Ethan Allen at some point. Colonial style, rock maple, probably late 50's or early 60's
Randolph House Furniture Company was in Randolph, VT in the late 50's and early 60's and was sold to Ethan Allen Company. My mother worked there for 41 years, in fact we have a Randolph House bedroom set that has her signature in it.... "Hand sanded by ........" It's a keeper!
the one person said that Randolph was in Vermont . there may well be a town there but Randolph furniture was in New York and one in Ohio not sure where else . My Grandmother gave My Mom a bedroom suit and it says on the back of the mirror Randolph Furniture Works , Jamestown ,New York. I am also trying to find the value of the set
Randolph Furniture Works is different from Ye Olde Randolph House Furniture Company.
My grandpa was a New England furniture salesman, and helped us by a Randolph House bedroom set (bed, dresser, desk) in the late '50s. It is red maple, also called rock maple. The factory was in Randolph VT, and was later sold to Ethan Allen, who ran it for another 30 years.
Here is the manufacturer's insignia:
